Less than 19 hours to go for top affiliate challenge

As many of you already know, I'm a candidate for top affiliate challenge reality show. I finished 4th out of up to 190 entrants. It was a tough 2.5 months since I entered the competition with a this simple video, CLICK HERE.

Along the way I created 3 other videos with my last video inspiration came when Chad VanNorman another contestant made a spoof video on the top 10 contestants and mine was one of them. Me not letting someone have a 1 up on me, I had to trump him with a better video CLICK HERE than his and send a message "I seen your video". This video was able to take me to #1, and hold me in the top 5 with a final finish of 4.

Wow was I glad to get the auditioning part over with. All the drama, bantering and sometimes bullying in the blogs, and forums was ridiculous., but then again would you expect anything less from a reality show and YES this one is living up to the reality show drama standards.

After the latest set back and drama accruing this week on top affiliate challenge , Thor Schrock was about to ask everyone to turn it down a notch or two. I mean come on, we are dealing with individuals from all different walks of life, some are people who thrive on drama & enjoy it, others who are successful online or off line, even ones who are leaders of teams and business models and then maybe 1 or 2 who have not a whole heck of allot of experience BUT do have the hopes of top affiliate challenge opening a door or two.

With less than 19 hours till I arrive in Lincoln, NE to get settled in and find out all the deep dark secrets we have not been in on. Most questions have been answered and Kimberly & Thor have been excellent in keeping us all in the loop, and maybe more than others, but heck I just met them both a few weeks ago so why would they share anything with me? THANK you Mr and Mrs. Schrock for all your hard work to date and in the near future.

Here are some simple secrets I'm sure we will find out soon find out.

1. How many to a room, 2, 3 OR MORE?
2. Will we be eating something more than a box lunch 3 times a day?
3. What Team will we be on; Team pepperjam, Team ToolBarn or Team XYZ.com?
4. What tasks do the challenges consist of; online, off line or a mix? It sure would be boring to be stuck behind a computer for 12, 14 - 16 hours a day for two weeks.
   
5. How will you get voted off the show? Thor Schrock says "It will be a hard pill to swallow" Do we have to drink some kool-aid or something?
6. What happens when we are kicked off, do we fly home right away or can we stay a day or more?
7. Are there any hidden expenses we will incur while on or after the show?
8. Will there be any cool prizes?
   

As you can see there are some uncertainties to this process. I mean when you go on vacation you usually know how to plan accordingly, so this should be no different. Yes there is EXCITEMENT for me in meeting some new friends, and hopefully building some lasting relationships that I would have never had if it were not for this opportunity. Nervousness, well of course, not for my abilities, but for all the uncertainties. This reminds me of when I left my family behind in 1981 when I left for my assignment in Turkey. At lease I will be able to email and text my wife & daughter, so that will help.

This vacation is hard to plan for, but I do have my swim trunks (speedo style), my computer and a few change of clothes ready to go at the foot of the bed.

Before I end, I want to give a shot out to Ty Hurd, dude I wish you were able to make the show and good luck in your future, and to Eric Green, if it were not for you calling me out on YOUR audition video, I would have never known about top affiliate challenge. THANK YOU!

7.5 Days to go Till I leave for Lincoln to top affiliate challenge reality show

During this whole audition process with top affiliate challenge I have received support from;

Christina "my wife" - 100%
Doug "my borther" - 90%
Kim "my sister" - 0%
Parents "my side" - 10% - I give them 10% due to the watched my last audition video on my phone due to Doug saying he thinks it was the best video I have done yet. LOL, I can tell he had not been paying attention, but then with 213 video to date from last night, I guess it would be hard to catch up over night.
Extended Family - 20% - I mean there are some who have wished me luck and voted for me on a continuous basis, but there are other who have not acknowledged anything during this 2.5 process.

Even when I announced I was the #4 contestant in the final 12, still nothing and I doubt I will.

The point is, you would expect your family and extended whether they agree with your dreams or not to support you. You to will have family members keep you from reaching your goals, keep plugging away doing something each day toward your goal or dream.

To many PEOPLE give up and they are right there, they can see it, it just might be right around the corner.

Go for it!.

DO NOT GIVE UP!

Will I win this competition? In my mind I have, just getting on top affiliate challenge was more than 178 others were able to accomplish. That was the easy part, now the hard part will be to last till 7/15/08.
